Hi, I'm Pauline 👋  Are you ready to hear my story? Let's go!

I moved to London from Beijing at the age of 17 on my own to attend university. After completing my master's, I became a full-time microblogger on Weibo (think Twitter or X). I shared content and advice about the British lifestyle and culture with Chinese students living in the UK. To my surprise, I gained a following of over 200,000 people within just one and a half years, and the engagement rate was very high. Every day, I found myself chatting online with people I didn't know and answering their questions about their life in the UK.

Two years later, I founded my own digital media and marketing company with the help of angel investment. Being a fresh graduate with no professional experience or resources, succeeding in my first business venture seemed almost impossible. But luckily, people trusted me, and I took the role of managing director and worked hard to scale up my business.

With a combination of luck and grit, I was able to grow my business to a yearly turnover of seven figures within just five years. I had a team of twenty employees, and we worked with some big brands from various consumer-facing industries, many of them from the luxury sector. By building a trustworthy brand and developing efficient internal operations processes, I exited the business in 2023.

Helping people has always been a passion of mine. I understand the pains of growing a small business in the UK under significant constraints. I want to be the support I never had while building my first business. I am not going to sugar coat this: building a successful business is going to be tough, but together, we got this 💪
